History
Established in 1834 by Harvey G Frost, and based in Out Westgate Street in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, H G Frost Building Contractors Limited was founded with the intention of providing high quality and reliable building services to the people of East Anglia.
This proved to be a successful philosophy and by the 1950’s, the company had built a strong reputation locally. Demand was such that it was employing over 300 people, and was working on projects right across the UK.
In the 1970’s the business was passed onto father and son team, David and Adrian Frost, who made the tough decision to move away from contracting work and specialise in barn conversions. This decision served them well as H G Frost weathered the difficult economic times, and emerged as market leaders in this niche market.
Now in its sixth generation, and operating from offices in Hengrave, the company is run by Harvey Frost, and still boasts the same reputation for excellence. Harvey has built the property maintenance and contracting side of the business back up and, as such, H G Frost Building Contractors Limited remains first choice for many Architects and Letting Agents.
